During the past three weeks we have held our first two Thursday Night Art Socials, which were a great success! We had a small group of people new to visiting the collective who came out to join us for our very first live drawing session. A great time was had by all–thanks to Collective member, Emily Mitchell for serving as our model!
Also, this past week UP Collective Creative Director, Ricky Jaén was our fabulous model at the second Art Social. Here is a drawing made that night that completely captures Ricky’s aura…
(FYI, the cigarette was an artistic addition, there is no smoking allowed in the building!)
We hope to see you at our next Thursday Night Art Social, happening October 6th, from 7-9 pm! It is a great opportunity to meet new people in the Austin art community in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Also, a good time to brush up on your art skills. Bring your own medium and BYOB!
